With Joe Weston retiring from Amazone Groundcare after many years on patch, then filling those boots was never going to be easy.
This task now falls to Richard Wroot. Richard moves over to Amazone Groundcare after completing a comprehensive grounding in the Amazone product range over the last 12 months under the auspices of Customer Service.
Working in service, spare parts and on the fertiliser settings helpline, he has thus gained a full understanding of what makes all things Amazone tick. During this time, Richard also has undergone full product and service training at the French Groundcare factory in Forbach.
Richard has a strong agricultural background and is equally at home in a tractor or self-propelled machine and with any bit of kit on behind.
He has been involved for the last ten years at dealer level with spare parts, initially with Platts Harris and then latterly as parts manager at Ripon Farm Services, and comes to Amazone with an excellent knowledge of both the agricultural and Groundcare businesses.
Having spent the last couple of months now looking after northern England and Scotland for Amazone Groundcare, Richard has enjoyed considerable success with sales of the Groundkeeper and Profihopper mower collectors reaching new heights.
"The support I have received from our dealer network and the demand from customers for the Amazone kit has made the transition from office to road extremely easy and I am looking forward to building on the fantastic start made so far as we get into the grass growing season," enthused Richard.
