Natural Paving Products (UK) Ltd is delighted to announce the winners of its annual Landscaping Professional Awards.
The awards recognise and reward high quality craftsmanship and innovative designs, which use the company’s products.
After receiving an incredible number of high quality entries the company has settled on this year’s winners, split across the following categories: ‘Best Garden Design – Large, Best Garden Design – Small, Best Garden Patio – Large, Best Garden Patio – Small, Best Driveway and Best Craftsmanship’.
Eric Marrat of Elite Landscapes has been awarded ‘Best Garden Design – Large’. Eric devised a one-off design, which combines two sets of contrasting colours to create a striking visual effect.
To create the look, he used both Nuvola and Tempesta porcelain paving from Natural Paving Product’s Vitripiazza range as well as integrating bespoke made Noir Gold setts into the design. Elite Landscapes have previously been victorious in the Landscape Professional Awards, however the judges felt this year’s effort to be the best to date. Runner up in this category was Snap Dragon for its multi-level design.
Winning this year’s ‘Best Garden Design – Small’ award was Nathan Proud of Garden Creations. A previous award winner back in 2012, Nathan has created a wonderful outdoor dining area out of a modest space.
To do so, he combined Natural Paving Product’s Nero and Tempesta vitrified porcelain paving, which perfectly compliment each other. This project was just one of many to use Vitripiazza, the full bodied porcelain product has proven extremely popular with customers who increasingly want to work it into their outdoor environments.
Finishing just behind in second place for this category was Ian Smith of I.D.S Block Paving, whose combination of Golden Fossil flagstones, walling and copings emphasizes just what’s possible when complimentary products are used throughout a design. What’s more, Ian used our Pavetuf Jointing Compound on the project; the easy to apply all weather-jointing compound will help protect the project, safeguarding the customer’s financial outlay.
Creating a large paved area to provide an outside lounge area, Tony Ward of Award Landscapes was the clear winner of this year’s ‘Best Garden Patio – Large’. Using Natural Paving Product’s Birch flagstones, Midnight Blue block paving and kerbs, he has created a stunning visual aesthetic with a modern feel.
Likewise, Harlow Garden Services who transformed a humble garden into a wonderful outdoor space with a functional patio have been victorious at this year’s awards, winning the ‘Best Garden Patio – Small’ prize.
Finishing as this year’s ‘Best Garden Patio’ runner up is M&A Paving for the intriguing patio it’s created with Harvest flagstones from Natural Paving Product’s Classicstone collection.
Using an interesting mix of materials to transform a dormant space into a practical and stylish driveway, Greenhalgh Landscape & Build have been awarded the ‘Best Driveway’ prize. The company combined Meadow Cobbles, Silver Granite Setts and Autumn Brown flagstones to build a wonderful drive, as well as separate entrance to the property for pedestrian access.
Finally, taking the award for ‘Best Craftsmanship’ was Charles Pickwell of Pickwell Paving. With exquisite attention to detail and precision cuts, the company has created a bespoke garden path and patio area. Using Maple flagstones to create an elegant curved path from the customer’s house to outhouse and seating area.
Speaking on this year’s winners and runners up, Malcom Gough, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Natural Paving Product commented: “The level of entries we received this year were tremendous and we’ve seen some amazing projects. Choosing the winners was a difficult task, however we feel those who’ve been victorious have created projects that showcase just what’s possible with our incredible product range.”
Each winner received a £300 prize, while the runners up were awarded £50.
