In 2011 Boughton teamed up with Totalplay to help support the Leicester community with the installation of a new cricket pitch, based at Stonehill High School in Birstall.
Boughton donated £5,000 worth of cricket loam to help create a superior pitch for the community.
This new pitch provided the perfect training ground for the Leister Community Sports Cricket Academy, whom through the training and guidance of team captain and head coach Dread Esat, soared through Division 11, winning 11 out of their 12 matches, with the remainder being abandoned. This resulted in the team winning the division title and a promotion to the Everards League.
With the team focused on testing themselves at a higher level next year, we wish them the best of luck. The academy is currently hoping to attract additional players of varying ages.
