Onneley Golf Club in Cheshire were the lucky winners of GreenTek's recent prize draw for a set of three Dyna-Seeder overseeding units to fit their greens mower.
And for Head Greenkeeper Colin Hayward, it was a total surprise, as his Captain had entered the club into the draw without even telling him.
The club will now be able to use the Dyna-Seeder units to provide a unique solution for quickly and discreetly overseeding their greens throughout the playing season.
The Dyna-Seeders' vibratory spiker mechanisms open up thousands of neat holes, into which the grass seeds are carefully planted, to ensure maximum germination and minimum wastage of expensive seed.
Through regular use clubs can significantly improve the sward composition in their greens, to create a much more healthy and hardwearing playing surface.
