If you are looking to source eco-friendly decking products, Round Wood of Mayfield have recently introduced a new and innovative board to the UK market.
Heveatech decking is cut from responsibly harvested "˜Hevea Brasiliensis,' or Rubber Trees, at the end of their useful life, so offers outstanding environmental credentials, including FSC Certification.
The manner in which it is engineered also makes Heveatech extremely stable. Small layers of the cut timber are bonded together under extreme compression and finished with a matching veneer, resulting in a board that is far more resistant to contraction and expansion than other timbers.
Other hardwoods offered by Round Wood of Mayfield include Ipe, Balau and Oak, all selected for their outstanding durability and high end appearance. They only softwoods in their range, including Siberian Larch and Radiata Pine, only make the grade because they boast high levels of natural oils, which results in uncharacteristic strength.
The East Sussex based business, which delivers nationwide, also supplies oak framed buildings, beams, sleepers and joinery.
