Compo Expert has launched a new "˜complete' liquid fertiliser for use on fine sports turf at this year's BTME show in Harrogate.
The new fertiliser, which has an NPK content of 9-4-6 plus essential trace elements, contains the full spectrum of turfgrass nutrients and has been formulated to give rapid soil penetration and improved uptake and to ensure immediate absorption into the root system of golf greens, golf tees and football pitches.
Basfoliar Turf Complete SL is the latest sports turf fertiliser from nutrition specialists, Compo Expert, and has been formulated in response to the current trend of spoon-feeding fine turf with a full complement of essential nutrients on a little and often basis. The liquid fertiliser has a 9-4-6 NPK content, is fortified with magnesium for improved sward colour and also contains a range of EDTA chelated trace elements (copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum and zinc), thereby ensuring that plants receive a full and complete nutrient supply.
Designed specifically for convenient use as a spring and summer fertiliser, Basfoliar Turf Complete SL contains two forms of nitrogen for efficient utilisation whilst using potassium in the sulphate form for low salt stress.
Basfoliar Turf Complete SL also contains 5% Ascophyllum nodosum (seaweed) extract which adds a huge range of beneficial bioactive substances (oligosaccharides, plant hormones and trace elements) which help to combat abiotic stresses caused by excessive wear and unfavourable weather conditions.
The addition of block co-polymer technology enables the liquid fertiliser to rapidly penetrate thick layers of hydrophobic thatch material to make nutrients readily and immediately available within the rootzone below.

Basfoliar Turf Complete SL is available in 20 litre containers and can be applied to golf greens, golf tees, football pitches, bowling greens, tennis courts, cricket squares and anywhere where a high quality turf is of paramount importance within a short space of time – for example, in the final run up to major tournaments and competitions.
