A Yorkshire-based sports surface manufacturer is the only company in the UK that can offer all three of the recognised methods for producing artificial surfaces: needlepunch, tufted and woven, from their factory near Wakefield.
Playrite, a family-owned and well-respected business has been manufacturing quality playing surfaces for more than 20 years and exports to all corners of the globe.
They supply tennis courts to Japan, bowling greens to Australia, indoor football pitches to Canada, multi-use games areas to India and tennis courts to Russia, as well as playing surfaces to most countries in Europe and the UK.
Director Chris Pickles said: “Whether you’re playing bowls or netball, football, tennis or golf, a well-laid playing surface is crucial to the success of your sport.
“But different sports have different needs. Tennis balls need to bounce, rugby balls don’t. A golf course has short grass; a football pitch has a much longer pile.
“Each of the three recognised methods has its own merits, but because Playrite manufacture all three we can give unbiased and impartial advice as to which is best for your particular sport.
“We can provide a surface for just about any sport there is. When we work with a client we ascertain the priority and the standard of the sports they want to play on the surface and come up with a solution that meets their needs in as cost-effective a way as possible.
“And of course – everything we sell is manufactured in our own factory here in the UK, so we can guarantee the high quality of our products at all times.”
