At this year’s SALTEX, Grillo released their ultimate cut & collect out-front machine the FD2200TS.
This mower is the culmination of many years of development by the Grillo technical department and features many industry leading innovations.
Powered by the latest generation Yanmar 48hp 4-cylinder diesel engine capable of delivering high power in extreme working conditions and equipped with an automatic self-cleaning radiator.
An enlarged 50 ltr fuel tank on the FD2200TS means less stops and increased productivity.
Both the steering system and now the operator pedals are controlled hydraulically dispensing with the old type rods and cables.
The huge 64 inch (162cm) high performance cutter deck is now hydraulically controlled for easy cleaning & maintenance plus height of cut is also now operated via hydraulic control and can be adjusted on the move.
Traction is through 4 hydraulic motors with auto & manual diff-lock with a built-in stability system for safe working on slopes.
A huge twin speed turbine powers the clippings into a 1400 ltr hi-tip collector fitted with a dispersal device for even filling whilst the blades are automatically stopped when the collector is full.
The TS 2200 was engineered to be short and compact with a turning circle of just 24 inches (62cm) which allows excellent manoeuvrability in confined spaces.
Operator comfort was not forgotten with the addition of a Grammar seat with air suspension and adjustable steering column.
A useful addition to the TS is its diagnostic display which, when the ignition is first activated, will run a check on all the machines functions before allowing it to start.
Of course, the legendary Grillo ability to cut and collect in all weathers has not been compromised and is recognised throughout the industry. Included with the machine as standard are a certified ROPS and full road kit.
