Playforce becomes an Official Partner of The Challenger Trust

Playforce, creators of outstanding outdoor spaces, have announced a new long term partnership with The Challenger Trust, which supports schools to help young people to fulfill their true potential.

The Challenger Trust supports schools to help young people to fulfill their true potential. They believe that a comprehensive programme of character development will typically include a blend of outdoor education, role model presentations, pupil to pupil supervision, curriculum trips, cultural tours, sports fixtures, enterprise training, careers talks, music camps and personal development expeditions overseas.

Playforce was one of the first to offer a complete, consultative approach to developing tailored outdoor spaces for the education sector. By taking the time to meet each customer and understand their needs, they ensure that every project delivers the very best outcomes for a school, nursery or group of settings.

As part of the award-winning TCL Group, Playforce also offer a range of other outdoor services, including landscaping and grounds maintenance, meaning they are now uniquely positioned to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for everything outdoors, not only within the education sector, but also in the leisure and local government sectors.

The Challenger Trust has presented new research from Relational Schools, a research consultancy group, examining the link between character development and academic attainment, where the partnership will be formally announced. Within the partnership, which was brokered by sponsorship agency, Bastion Connect, Playforce’s support enables further research to be undertaken, and gives them an opportunity to share their work with relevant bodies, as well as the sharing of co-created content and success stories.

Mark Wood, Managing Director for Playforce, commented: “Playforce has always championed the benefits of outdoor education alongside other activities to help children develop a variety of essential life skills, and so we are delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside the Challenger Trust and help children across the UK fulfill their potential.”

Charlie Rigby, Founder & Chairman of the Challenger Trust, added: “This is an exciting time for the Challenger Trust as we work towards building our capacity to improve the social mobility of many more young people around the UK, and we thank the directors of Playforce for supporting The Challenger Trust vision and helping us achieve our aim.”
