Mecalac Construction to showcase compact equipment

Leading equipment solutions provider, Mecalac Construction Equipment UK Ltd (formerly Terex GB), will showcase its latest compact machinery portfolio – including the brand new TLB870 backhoe loader and the market-leading TA9SP site dumper – on stand F52 at PLANTWORX (6-8 June 2017).

The event, which takes place at the Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, Leicestershire, will also see Mecalac introduce a suite of new model technologies, including the roll-out of site dumper telematics and hazard detection capability, as well as showcasing other products from Mecalac, including the award-winning MWR wheeled excavator.

Joining the MWR on-stand, Mecalac’s all-new TLB870 has been specifically developed for the rental marketplace, offering superior productivity and an intelligent hydraulic system to reduce power consumption and improve fuel economy. The model’s modern design also features an all-new loader arm, bespoke roof canopy and LED lights for improved operator experience. Customers with correct PPE and valid operating licences can book their experience in advance.

Representing site dumper innovation, the TA9SP comes with Synchro Shuttle transmission and swivel skip functionality as standard, making it perfect for use in tight spaces on construction sites. Stop/Start Control and the option of Autoshift technology puts the heavy-duty dumper head and shoulders above the competition.

Developed in partnership with Trakm8, Mecalac’s telematics technology – Capture – will be available for PLANTWORX visitors to trial. Full ECU integration means that engineers can perform remote diagnostics, while site managers can benefit from reporting on fuel consumption, service planning, geo-fencing and plant theft deterrent.

In addition, all-new hazard detection technology provides significant added benefits to operator. The ability to integrate with any aftermarket product is a key feature of Mecalac’s investment in this area, designed to simplify the roll-out for equipment owners looking to ensure continuity across their fleet. Working in much the same way as parking sensors on a car, the technology is designed to meet stringent on-site compliance requirements.

Mecalac’s static displays at PLANTWORX will be complemented with a live demonstration arena, allowing visitors to see the latest equipment in action. There will also be the opportunity for those with correct PPE and valid operating licences to trial the units.

“As the UK’s largest ‘live action’ construction show, we are really looking forward to exhibiting our products at PLANTWORX and sharing a wide range of show offers with delegates,” commented Gregg Horne, General Manager of Mecalac Construction.

“It provides a great opportunity to showcase our latest models and technologies – the fruition of considerable R&D from our Coventry design team. Our world-renowned products guarantee reliability, efficiency and productivity for both site workers and owner-operators alike. The portfolio is designed to excel in the toughest conditions and deliver optimum efficiency, while also remaining cost-effective.”
