The deadline for ornamentals growers to enter the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) International Grower of the Year Awards (IGOTY) 2017 is fast approaching with the cut off for entries on July 15.
These awards are an invaluable opportunity to gain global recognition and entries can be made across multiple categories.
The awards include:
- Finished Plants & Trees - plants and trees that are ready for final sale.
- Young Plants - encompassing cuttings, plugs, liners, seedlings etc which are sold for growing on.
- Cut Flowers & Bulbs - flowers and foliage which are cut for indoor decorative use and bulbs.
- Sustainability Award - new award to recognise best practice and innovation in improving sustainability areas.
- Inspiring Business Award - new award for grower businesses with less than ten employees demonstrating unique qualities and innovation.
AIPH Secretary General, Tim Briercliffe said: “We are looking for businesses demonstrating excellence in areas such as economic performance, innovation, market orientation, environmental standards and human resources.”
