idverde scores a hat-trick at BALI National Landscape Awards

Green space management company, idverde, and its clients are once again celebrating a successful year at the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) Awards, having received three prestigious National Awards in categories spanning three landscaping disciplines.

The BALI National Landscape Awards are held annually to showcase the high levels of professionalism attained by BALI members. The event, now in its 41st year, is considered by many to be ‘the Oscars’ of the landscaping world, and is the largest landscaping awards scheme in Europe.

This year idverde is delighted to have received BALI National Awards for the following projects:

  • Manor Gardens, Bexhill – Grounds Maintenance, Free Public Access – sponsored by Harrowden Turf
  • The Gateway Project at the University of Salford – Hard Landscaping Construction (Non-Domestic) Cost between £300k - £1.5m – sponsored by Quinton Edwards
  • Houghton Hall Park – Regeneration Scheme over £500k – sponsored by Rigby TaylorWith extremely high standards of workmanship needed to attain an award, competition in each category is fierce. A member of BALI’s judging panel visited each entry before the team of seven industry experts reconvened for several days of deliberation to decide the National Award winners in each category.

Reflecting on this year’s adjudication process, Greg Allen, chair of BALI’s judging panel said:

“As BALI Awards judges we all see this task as a privilege… We are rarely disappointed by the standard of workmanship, horticultural knowledge and design expertise we are asked to judge… We are not here to reward achievement of the standards we expect of a BALI member, rather to recognise when members have really excelled and their work represents outstanding delivery.

“We have been delighted to judge this year’s entries and I congratulate every winner, who can be enormously proud of their achievements.”

From the shortlisted National Award winners, an overall Principal Winner is awarded in each category, to be announced at a glittering awards ceremony in London on 1 December. The scheme judged preeminent amongst all of the winning schemes will receive BALI’s Grand Award, the landscaping industry’s ultimate accolade.

Commenting on this year’s BALI Awards success, idverde UK’s Chief Executive Officer, Doug Graham, said:

“idverde has a strong tradition of success in the BALI Awards, having won 91 Awards to date. We are thrilled that our success continues this year, and full credit must once again go to our idverde colleagues involved in creating and maintaining these winning schemes. Equally important, these awards also demonstrate idverde’s ability to deliver outstanding standards to its clients across the full spectrum of landscaping and grounds maintenance services.

“We look forward to celebrating with fellow members across the industry at December’s Awards Ceremony, and discovering the winners of this year’s Principal and Grand Awards.”
