Polaris Industries unveiled an industry first today ahead of its annual Polaris Camp event in Reygades, France with the introduction of ABS to its versatile side-by-side GENERAL for model year 18 – the first time such a system has been made available in the industry.
Developed at the Polaris Opole facility in Poland, the GENERAL 1000 EPS Deluxe – T1b ABS is the market’s first Tractor homologated side-by-side to feature ABS, making the already versatile vehicle even better for both work and pleasure.
Upon unveiling the new GENERAL, Rene Basei, Polaris EMEA Vice President, commented: “Innovation is at the forefront of everything we do at Polaris, so to be the first to bring ABS to this market is something we are extremely proud of. With GENERAL specifically, we have a very versatile machine with the ability to cover demanding roles, be it work or pleasure. Developed specifically for the European market, the GENERAL ABS has seen direct collaboration between Polaris R&D teams in the USA and Poland, delivering a clever and robust system that is switchable at lower speeds, with real off-road ability.

Other technical enhancements for the whole Polaris GENERAL range include a revised CV Propshaft for reduced driveline noise, passenger door enhancements and new colour options.
