Land Trust adds two new sites to its service charge portfolio

The Land Trust is delighted to announce two new service charge sites have transferred to its management.

St Luke’s Park in Runwell, Essex, and St Michael’s Hurst in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, are the latest spaces to be added to the Trust’s portfolio of sites in England.

Both residential sites have been developed by Countryside Properties, who work in partnership with the Land Trust at the hugely successful Beaulieu development in Chelmsford, Essex.

Alan Carter, Director of Portfolio Management at the Land Trust said: “We are delighted to begin management of these fantastic sites and add them to our growing portfolio of residential service charge spaces.

“While the Land Trust is still relatively new to this area of work we believe our placekeeping philosophy brings communities together and makes a difference in a market where too often residents are left exposed to rising prices with no power to do anything about it. We put the needs of the residents first while delivering charitable outcomes at the same time.

“We know that spending time in well managed green space has a positive effect on people’s physical and mental health and also delivers a host of economic and social benefits and we look forward to delivering high quality green space management and working with the residents to build their communities and make a positive impact on their lives.”

Both St Luke’s Park and St Michael’s Hurst sites include a significant amount of green space and woodland which will enable residents to spend time outdoors, particularly at St Michael’s Hurst, which includes a 16 hectare country park as part of the development.

The transfer of both sites to the Land Trust brings the total number of service charge sites under their management to five.
