Swain Group changing the landscape with Brett’s

The Swain Group has been awarded a five year contract to provide nationwide distribution services to Brett Landscaping, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of high quality paving products for commercial and domestic applications.

Effective immediately, Rochester, Kent-headquartered Swain Group’s specialist Brick and Block division will be responsible for delivering materials to customers from four Brett sites around the country. Swain Group will operate a dedicated fleet on behalf of the landscaping specialist to provide cutting edge solutions which deliver visibility to Brett across every part of a consignment’s journey.

With a dedicated and growing Swain team working with Brett the two companies have worked closely together to create greater efficiencies which mean peak season business can now be handled in timely fashion within Swain’s own network.Across the UK Brett teams will have real time visibility about their fleet as well as detailed and meaningful KPI reporting.

Commenting on the new multi-year deal Swain Group Sales Director, David Emslie says: “We are absolutely delighted that Brett Landscaping has shown their confidence in the Swain Group and chosen us to be their supply chain partner. We are two like-minded companies with tremendous synergies, we’re both independent and we are proud to be working together to deliver a service, enhance the customer experience and to help expand the Brett business.

“Building long-term partnerships is an important part of our ethos and at the same time Brett’s requirements suit us perfectly. They require an extensive range of mechanical offload (MOL), cranes, wagon and drags and flatbed solutions to support the delivery of their landscaping and building products and we are eager to get going with the relationship,” he adds.

Says Richard Baldry, Managing Director at Brett Landscaping: “As a leading independent company we seek out partners who, like us, are dynamic and forward thinking.Throughout all of our conversations with Swain we have been impressed by their openness, honesty and positivity and we are very happy with the level of support they have offered.I am certain that Brett Landscaping and Swain will have a long and successful relationship”.

Swain has been working with the Brett’s team to transition the workload over the last few months. September completed this process with the entire contract moving to Swain control. In the spirit of continuous improvement teams from both companies are already in discussions about further service enhancements with the introduction of import solutions for products sourced outside of the UK.
