Responsible irrigation from Reesink Hydro-Scapes at BTME with Reesink Turfcare

Responsible irrigation is high on all greenkeepers’ agendas in 2023 after the warmest year ever and Reesink Hydro-Scapes will have an extensive range of effective and efficient water solutions at BTME.

Toro irrigation is out in full force and with good reason. Throughout Toro’s history using innovation to solve real customer problems has been a hallmark of its success and never more so than in the world of sustainable, reliable irrigation.

Millions have been invested and the brand has collaborated with universities, industries and communities to further education and awareness around proper irrigation strategies for enhancing and protecting ecosystems.

Even back in the 1960s when the technology was limited, the intention was as it is now: to provide efficient irrigation solutions and Toro is still the master of this.

The developments that have impacted golf course professionals the most and which will be at BTME are:

  • Central control systems like Lynx which provides access to real-time course information, precision control options, and convenience through mobile connectivity to better manage turf health and water resources.
  • Sprinkler precision such as with the Infinity series to allow for maximum distribution uniformity and adjustability to alter coverage seasonally, meet water reduction mandates and for separate irrigating between turf areas. There’s even the option of sprinklers such as the FLEX B series which are perfect for bunker surrounds without wasting water throwing into the bunkers and with rotation to slowly apply water where runoff is a concern. Also at the show will be the T590 and T7 both with TurfCup – Reesink’s innovative natural turf cup which allows grass to grow in the cup on top of the sprinkler to create a seamless and continuous area of turf.
  • Toro’s Turf Guard wireless soil monitoring system to measure and report soil moisture, temperature and salinity. The real-time data helps customers make more informed decisions on when and how much to water, ensuring healthier turf without over or under watering.

Two of Otterbine’s best sellers – the Concept 3 aerating fountain and Fractional five-in-one aerating system – will be there and with both customers are only one product away from clean, clear, healthy water for their ponds or lakes.

Making a return from Reesink Hydro-Scapes is the SRC Ranger Controller 4000 D, an easy to use and highly effective 2-wire controller that delivers all the control needed for easy but effective irrigation without the requirement of a PC. And rounding out the display is Franklin Pump’s EGF Dirty Water Transfer and EV Vertical Multi Stage Pumps.

Both provide the solutions for customers wanting sustainability – the EGF is a submersible drainage pump for dirty water extracting from ponds, streams and pits, while the EV is suitable for pumping clean water through irrigations systems in golf clubs and sports grounds.

Robert Jackson, who heads up the Reesink Hydro-Scapes division, comments: “Water is a fundamental part of the matrix of the business we’re all in – caring for the landscape – and as a commodity, its value and importance cannot be overlooked. This extensive, effective and efficient selection of products gives visitors plenty of options for best managing this resource.”

When you combine this range of products with the efforts, intel and experience distributor Reesink Hydro-Scapes has to offer to help clubs understand where they can massively improve efficiencies, improve their existing infrastructure, reduce water use, and manage reservoirs and boreholes better, you realise it’s possible to not only safeguard your club but also to make a significant difference to the country’s resources.

Visitors to BMTE can see all this as well products from Reesink Turfcare and Reesink e-Vehicles on stand 622.
