Green-tech delighted to be back on the road and attending the Specifi events

The Green-tech team are once again hitting the road to visit customers, suppliers, and attend trade events.

Sales Director for Green-tech Richard Gill comments, “It’s fantastic to be back out there. We really missed seeing everyone. We are starting to visit customers and suppliers and there’s a renewed energy about the business. It’s been a long time since Green-tech opened its doors to visitors and it feels amazing; there’s a real buzz around the place.”

Green-tech signed up to attend the series of six Specifi events which kicked off at the end of August in Glasgow and was followed up last week in Manchester.

The Specifi events are aimed at Architects including Landscape Architects. Their format provides a level of face-to-face engagement unrivalled by any other event in the UK.The events are all held in major cities throughout the UK at the end of the working day. They aim to create a unique environment where engaged specifiers can meet with suppliers and chat in a relaxed and informal setting.

Mark Wood, Green-tech’s Business Development Director and Richard Wexham from Green-tech’s Specifier team attended the recent Specifi event. Mark Comments,

“It was certainly a show with a difference. It operated on a ‘speed dating style’ format. Each company attending is allowed a maximum of two people, and the attendees are staggered over two waves to space it out. Each visitor starts at one exhibitor table and has strictly ten minutes to engage and network. They then move on to the next table and so on until they have visited all of the exhibitors.”

Richard Wexham continues,

“It was a great format.Really beneficial. We spoke to many Landscape Architects that we might not ordinarily have met.The dedicated one-on-one restricted timeslot meant you had to be focused and to the point. I think the Architects appreciated that! The numbers are obviously much smaller, but it was more targeted and a perfect forum to bring specifiers and suppliers together. It worked well for us, and we had a lot of interest in our wildflower seed, our soils range and our Sedum cassettes for Green roof projects.”

The next Specifi event that Green-tech is attending will be held in Bristol on 22nd September, closely followed by Birmingham and Leeds in October and then London in December.
