Invasive and amenity weed removal experts, Environment Controls have recently expanded their team with 6 new members to join the Amenity department.
The main reason behind this influx of hires is to keep up with growing demand for the specialised amenity weed control services and the securing of new multi-year contracts for UK councils.
As Environment Controls' services continue to expand, particularly in providing sustainable weed management solutions for hard surfaces and highways, the company has invested in growing its workforce. The Amenity Team utilises innovative, in-house designed quadbikes and hand-held kits, engineered to reduce herbicide and water usage by over 60%. This approach not only offers an environmentally conscious solution but also ensures efficient and courteous service when working in public spaces. Currently, each amenity technician covers an average of 35km per day, serving 9 contracts across locations including Southampton, Basingstoke, Blackburn, Erewash, Halton, Kent, Nottingham, Plymouth, and Leicestershire.
