The Quad Chip 160 is a clean sheet design and is a combination of ideas from customers together with the latest technology available. The end result being a chipper that fulfils all the requirements of today’s tree surgeons maintaining quality, performance and reliability. It is the ultimate road tow chipper with a 360° turntable allowing definitive positioning of in-feed chute for convenient and safe loading at the kerb-side and in restricted spaces. With the new design, the Quad Chip is good from any angle, when the chute is moved to 90° of the draw bar the rear of the machine stays within the width of the axle and does not protrude into the path of traffic.
Engineered with a world-renowned 34hp Kubota diesel engine and a high tensile steel chassis, you know that the QuadChip 160 has the power to tackle any task safely, efficiently and effectively. The high throughput of this machine is provided by powerful twin vertical feed rollers and a 160mm x 230mm letterbox in-feed throat. This offers exceptional crushing capacity for awkward forked branches and fast processing of bushy, leafy brash. This road tow chipper comes with a discharge chute that rotates 280° and folds down for compact transport and storage.
The QuadChip 160 comes fitted as standard with the patented Disc-Blade system, which offers a simple removal and sharpening process, and increased time period between rotations, to give dramatic cost savings. Since we recognise that many traditionalists prefer to use straight blades on their machines, GreenMech has developed a flywheel that will accept either Quad-Blades or Disc-Blades.
