Newby Leisure partners With SpaceKraft

Newby Leisure partners With SpaceKraft
Bespoke design and build specialists Newby Leisure are pleased to announce a regional first as they join in partnership with national sensory solutions supplier, SpaceKraft.

Both companies believe the partnership is a big step forward in helping children with a range of special needs to be inspired and educated with the use of sensory play equipment.

Sensory play and exploring the outdoor environment is an essential part of the curriculum for carers and teachers working with all children, including those with special needs. Creating a new range of outdoor sensory resources helps to provide an enjoyable learning experience that also encourages collaborative play.

Newby Leisure has designed, in conjunction with SpaceKraft, an exclusive range of products and offer installation for a full turn-key outdoor sensory solution.

Helping children with additional needs to have a full and varied physical education is a crucial part of Newby Leisure's ethos.

Company director, Neil Newby said: "At Newby Leisure, we strive to achieve development in all areas of play. It's a fundamental part of life, which can sometimes be taken for granted. We're always exploring new opportunities to enhance play and we feel this is a big step forward.
Our partnership with SpaceKraft is a very exciting prospect. Being able to stimulate children's imagination and develop their play experience is what our company is all about.
SpaceKraft share our vision and hopefully together, the new product range will go a long way in helping children with disability engage in strong social, physical and educational skills".

Together Spacekraft and Newby Leisure can provide inspiration and ideas for both indoor and outdoor play.

SpaceKraft spokeswoman, Carol Shephard added: "Spacekraft have been designing and installing Multi-Sensory Environments for well over 20 years. Each of the 4,000 projects we have completed are unique based on the age, sensory requirements, additional needs and budget of the users. We listen to our customers to ensure we understand the scope and objectives, the specific needs of the users and their aspirations for the use of their Multi-Sensory Environment. Through listening to our customers we realised that their need for sensory environments extended beyond the scope of what could be created inside; there was a real need for safe, stimulating and accessible spaces for all, outdoors.

Partnering with Newby Leisure enables us to offer complete turn-key solutions and develop an exclusive range of products that provide invaluable outdoor sensory experiences, and create the best solutions for people with special needs in any space. Building on both company's skill sets we aim to create play and learning spaces that are allow universal access and equip those spaces with resources that address a variety of issues including sensory, visual and auditory impairment, and limited fine and gross motor skills. We also aim to open up outdoor spaces to children and adults with Autism (ASD), who are often limited to highly structured indoor learning environments."

Newby Leisure launched their "˜150 Days of Play' campaign earlier this year which also aimed to help promote active play.
