Rigby Taylor has introduced Enclean, a powerful and innovative plant origin biocide for de-greening and controlling algae, lichens, bacteria and viruses that colonise on hard and artificial surfaces (permeable and non-permeable).
Enclean is suitable for:
- Tarmac, pavements, stone, block paving
- Roofs, conservatories, and
- Fencing, decking and cladding.
Before treatment
Enclean is a formulation of natural fatty (nonanic) acids that have been extracted from sustainable arable crops such as oilseed rape and sunflower, and its unique action is based on the C9 fatty acid opening up a plants’ cuticle and cell wall, causing rapid desiccation.
The speed of activity is determined by the temperature and sunlight intensity above 8°C, when desiccation will take place within a couple of hours.
After treatment
Enclean has benefits over existing QAC, DDAC-based biocides as it is applied in much lower quantities of both product and water. As an example, a 15-litre knapsack with dilute spray will treat 555 m2 compared to just 60 m2 by other biocides – which is not only financially economical but also saves time with constant knapsack filling.
Available in 1-litre bottles, Enclean dries quickly and is rain-fast within an hour. It also carries just one hazard statement (the same as commercial soap) and is not corrosive nor damaging to the environment.
