Wessex International introduced the RoviMo Autonomous Mower at SALTEX 2024.
It is designed to cut pitches without the hassle of stringing guidelines, and operating in compliance with official UEFA mowing regulations while offering various other cutting patterns.
This 100% electric mower has a runtime of up to eight hours between charges and offers quiet operation and minimised service costs.
It is controlled via RTK guidance and does not require a boundary wire; the RoviMo app is used to select mowing patterns, control speed and monitor operations and allows one operator to control several mowers at once. The pattern can be driven in ‘manual mode’ to mark waypoints or can be loaded from a previously stored job.
A 3D Lidar scanner allows safe autonomous operation in populated areas.
A full-size football pitch can be mown in just 2.5 hours, using an 86cm cylinder reel developed in conjunction with Infinicut. An optional grass collection system, complete with an auto-empty feature, is available, and there is a range of turf maintenance cassettes.
The RoviMo Autonomous Mower delivers a perfect presentation, achieving flawless, arrow-straight lines and with no need for fuel or hydraulic oil, it operates silently, significantly reducing operating costs and the risk of leaks that can damage turf.
Designed for time-saving efficiency, RoviMo can handle repetitive mowing tasks autonomously, allowing one person to manage multiple units and mow a full-size football pitch in just 2.5 hours.
The mower is easily managed via a mobile app, enabling users to select mowing patterns, control speeds, and monitor operations from their devices.
With minimal maintenance requirements—no grease points, belts, or engines to worry about—RoviMo is designed for simplicity.
