Ranging from intimate urban retreats to expansive landscapes, this year’s shortlist brings together an impressive spectrum of work.
Established names such as Ann-Marie Powell FSGLD, Gavin McWilliam MSGLD, and Matthew Wilson MSGLD are joined by some of the industry’s most exciting emerging talents, including Miria Harris MSGLD and Sheila Jack MSGLD, alongside newcomers Anca Panait, Kathryn Cox, and Laura Burt.
The list also highlights the growing international reach of the awards, with designers such as Spain’s Gonzalo Morillo MSGLD among those recognised.
Selected by a panel of independent experts — including designers, academics, journalists, and horticultural professionals — and chaired by garden designer, author, and lecturer Richard Sneesby, the shortlist reflects the extraordinary diversity and creativity within the field.
Projects range from a Mediterranean-inspired garden influenced by travels in Spain and Argentina, to a pollinator-focused design, a compact coastal garden in Kent, and a biophilic landscape for a secondary school created to support students’ psychological health and wellbeing.
