The Horticulture and Landscaping Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group, a collaboration of over 50 employers, trade associations, and educators, has announced an important survey aimed at evaluating and enhancing our apprenticeship programmes.
This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to develop, refine, promote, and support horticulture and landscaping apprenticeships.
The survey – which can be found here - will close on the 24th November and all stakeholders (employers, apprentices, educational professionals, trade associations and other interested groups) are urged to take part.
The survey will help assess the effectiveness of the horticulture or landscape construction operative and horticulture or landscaping supervisor apprenticeships and guide future activities.
It will also assist in streamlining the documents that determine how the end point assessments (tests) work, in line with current government policy.
Additionally, the results will be shared with partner awarding organisations to support their efforts.

Adam Blunt, Senior Technical Training Consultant at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Trailblazer Chair said: “Completing the Horticulture and Landscaping Apprenticeship Survey is a crucial step in shaping the future. Your insights will directly inform how we evolve and improve apprenticeships to better serve employers, training providers, apprentices, and stakeholders across the sector.”
Helen Sessions CHort MCIHort – External Relations, The Chartered Institute of Horticulture said: “Apprenticeships give people the chance to learn on the job, prove their potential, and earn while they train. They don’t just build skills, they shape confident professionals who meet the real needs of employers and the industry.”
