The Chartered Institute of Horticulture (CIH) has awarded the Pam Pointer Awards for Best Student 2025 to Harry Bulmer, Sarah Carleton, Chris Green, Samantha Oleksy, and Donna Sutton.
The award celebrates outstanding practical and academic achievements of students nominated by their education providers.
Recipients are rewarded with an experiential prize: sponsored attendance at industry event where they can continue their development and network with other professionals.

This year’s winners attended CIH organised careers events Grow Careers Scotland, hosted at RBG Edinburgh, Grow North 2025 at Askham Bryan College or the Plant Network’s Conifer Tree Training Day hosted at National Trust Killerton.
Jason Daff, CIH Hon. Secretary, said: “Congratulations to our Pam Pointer Award winners. I am delighted that they were able to join industry events in November to learn from the speakers and network with industry professionals.
“This prize was designed to give winners a worthwhile learning experience that supports their future development.”
Applications for the 2026 Pam Pointer Awards will open in April. Interested candidates should visit the CIH website.
