This front-mounted flail mower, now manufactured in the UK, can tackle any cutting requirement, from single pass clearing of metre-high wilderness to maintaining neat roadsides or fine finishing of sports fields. It is a highly versatile machine aimed at contractors or amenity and turf care professionals with different grand scale challenges that sometimes have to be tackled on the same day.
Cutting height can be adjusted between 12mm and 102mm, and there is a choice of working widths: 1.35 metres, 1.52 metres and 1.83 metres. It can also be fitted with couplings to substitute the rotary cutting decks on most of the tractors used in grounds care, including John Deere, Iseki, Toro, Kubota and New Holland.
It is the ease of varying its configuration to suit operating conditions and the cutting environment that sets it apart. The built-in Trimax Converter lets the operator change the set-up to suit the need, so it works at maximum efficiency whatever is being cut, but it is the long-life, high tensile steel Gamma flails that make it the most economically productive of mowers. Their aerodynamic design reduces the horsepower needed to achieve constant, even cut without clogging.
A special resin-based polymer undercoat used in the manufacture of the FlailDek FX in the UK means significantly greater resistance to corrosion, so an even longer working life can be expected.
