Wildflower mats from Meadowmat
Meadowmat’s pre-grown wild flower mats are by far the easiest, quickest and most reliable way to create a wildflower area on any scale.
Installed just like turf, Meadowmat gives instant coverage. Depending on the time of year it’s laid, Meadowmat will flower in its first season and gives far better results than seeding ever can.
There are three different seed mixes available:
Passchendale Poppy Meadowmat: a very similar seed mix to the Traditional Meadowmat but with the addition of the Remembrance poppy to honour those men who served in the First World War. 50p/m2 from sales of this stunning wildflower meadow on a roll will be donated to the Royal British Legion.
Traditional Meadowmat: A blend of 34 native perennial plants. 50% grass and 50% flowering plants.Great for visual impact and superb wildlife habitat. Low maintenance, just needs to be cut back in late summer and all clippings removed and may need to be mown 2 or 3 times in autumn/winter
Meadowmat for Birds and Bees: 42 native wildflowers and grasses with 20% grass and 20% flowering plants. Nectar rich flowers for bees are followed by architectural seedheads that look amazing and provide wild birds with winter food.
