2016 has been another great year for
Wicksteed Playgrounds with at least five new products going from
research and development into full production and installation across
UK sites.

with the Memory Swing
Fun for all – the Crusader Rope Swing
The long-established, innovative
Northamptonshire-based company’s latest products cater for a wide
range of ages and abilities, including the interactive Memory Swing
which allows toddler and carer to swing face to face. This unique
style of swing provides both tot and parent or carer with special,
close memories of their playground visits as they can keep all
important eye contact as they gently swing together.
There’s the
impressive looking, inline Rope End Crusader Swing which can
accommodate a few users at one time, challenging the older ones to
get the swing in motion whether standing or sitting on the coiled
rope seat. Constructed from seriously sturdy steel to S355
specifications, the Crusader is a brilliant new addition to
Wicksteed’s existing range of both traditional and state-of-the-art
swings.
Brand new multi-plays include the
funky-looking XS Cyclone and Castle ranges. With inspiration taken
from ancient knights of old, the Castle range offers 5 exciting
multi-faceted play decks featuring colourful panels. Wicksteed takes
its bespoke services very seriously and offers customers the chance
to customise these units to provide an individual theme for a play
area. Topics for bespoke panelling can be inspired by local
heritage, location or something even more specific.
Designed with modularity in mind, the
XS Cyclone’s Outriggers can be connected with a range of bridges
across variable heights – providing a progressive challenge for all
users and offering great play value
Wicksteed’s new DDA compliant Swirl
roundabout provides the ideal fully-inclusive addition to a play
area. With easy wheelchair access, this stylish-looking roundabout
can be enjoyed by children of differing abilities who can all fully
experience the spinning sensation safely and securely together.
