Westsole Fencing of Kent has recently taken delivery of its third Kramer wheeled loader to carry out a multitude of handling tasks at its Maidstone base.
Established some 30 years ago by John Ongley, Westsole Fencing has being using Kramer machines for nearly 15 years as the company has found them to be very reliable and their 4-wheel steering system, fitted as standard to all models, has proved very useful for manoeuvring safely in the confines of the busy site.
Although the fencing market still accounts for around half of the company's turnover, over the years it has also expanded into landscaping, building and recycling activities, supplying mainly local contractors with a wide range of sands, aggregates and crushed materials.
Commenting on the repeated choice of Kramer machines, Mr Ongley said: "As far as I'm concerned they are the Rolls Royce of wheeled loaders and even though our latest 5055 model is small in size, it does big work."
This latest Kramer loader in the Westsole fleet is now kept busy for up to ten hours per day loading hoppers and a rubble crusher as well as filling a steady stream of customer vehicles using its weigh-loader bucket.
Kramer's 5055 model is powered by a fuel-efficient Yanmar diesel engine developing 35 kW (48 hp) driving all four wheels via an infinitely variable, 2-speed range hydrostatic transmission. With standard bucket, the machine is capable of lifting 1600 kg to a maximum height of 2900 mm.
