As
part of Countrywide's ever expanding Turf and Amenity division,
Phil Garrod, the former Head Groundsman of the Honourable Artillery
Company, has been appointed as UK Sports Turf Manager. Over the
coming months and years, Phil will be responsible for providing
agronomic and product support to customers nationally, in the
non-golf sector and increase awareness of Countrywide's extensive
portfolio of fertilisers, plant protection products, seed and
aggregates.
Phil
has a wealth of experience in all aspects of sports turf management,
he is a graduate from Myerscough College where he gained his degree
in Sports Turf Science and is a former R and A scholar. Combining
high standards of both practical and agronomic knowledge, Phil, and
the Countrywide Regional Team, will be available to provide advice
and support to every level of sports turf management, assisting turf
professionals in producing exceptional surfaces throughout the UK,
from grass roots to pro sport.
