Kaboodle makes UTVs even more useful

Kaboodle makes UTVs even more useful
A revolutionary concept to help Utility Vehicle owners get more out of their UTV has been launched by a new company with long experience of these versatile machines.

Kaboodle is an innovative modular racking system for the rear cargo bed of any UTV or utility buggy to allow the safe storage and transport of a wide range of tools and equipment on the vehicle.

It enables the operator to work more efficiently with all of his tools easily to hand, protects valuable equipment by avoiding scratches and dents from sliding around in the load bed and ensures the safety of the driver and bystanders.

Large or awkward kit such as ladders or long handled tools can now be moved around the site without having to use other vehicles such as pick-ups or trailers, saving time and making better use of the UTV.

Kaboodle starts with a base fitting kit which includes a uniquely-designed pair of hoops. To this the customer then simply adds the features they require for the task in hand, such as racking points for tools, mesh panels to contain loose materials, lockable roller shutters or a weather cover.

A fold down platform can be added to hold a knapsack sprayer, backpack blower or makes a handy bench for sharpening a chainsaw or making general repairs.

The base frame is always ready to build on and accept further attachments as needs change.  Kaboodle keeps the rear cargo bed empty for bulk loads or loose materials such as fodder, chippings, litter or manure. The load bed can still be tipped with the Kaboodle fitted without removing tools or fuel cans.

It is the ideal accessory for utility vehicles used in the agriculture, groundcare, forestry, equestrian, gamekeeping and leisure industries.

Designed and built by UTV Products in High Legh, Cheshire, Kaboodle's inspiration comes from the company founders' experiences with these machines.

Managing director Martin Wickes has been in the golf buggy and UTV market for 22 years, including eight years as the proprietor of Golfbuggyhire which provided specialist short term vehicle hire for events, TV and film. Utility vehicles are a key element of this business type and the accessory idea arose out of wanting to broaden their market uses and maximise return on investment. Dave McKenna, a project engineer at Golfbuggyhire has joined UTV Products as "˜Professor of Innovation'.

"Our Kaboodle racking system is designed to make utility vehicles organised, safe and efficient," said Martin Wickes, "You can create your own perfect working space by specifying a Kaboodle to exactly suit your daily working requirements. It is the flagship in our range of accessories and the first of many innovative ideas that we plan to bring to the market."

Kaboodle versions are currently available for Toro Workman, Kioti, Cushman, Kawasaki, John Deere, Kubota, Club Car utility vehicles, but can also be built to order for other vehicles.

UTV Products is establishing a dealer network but can also supply the Kaboodle direct.
