Kioti have launched their latest range of compact tractors through UK importer Reco.
The new series is the latest range of compact tractors from the Korean manufacturer and is being introduced as a replacement to the previous popular DS economy and LX narrow width models that were available through Reco.
Reco Area Sales Manager Steven Haynes explained: "Kioti have listened to extensive customer feedback during the early stages of its development and have produced an all new tractor which we believe meets the customers demand for a mid-series tractor with big capacity performance."
The all new design DK with upgraded performance includes models with 45, 50 and 55 hp engines that meet current Tier 3 and Tier 4 emission regulations and are offered with rear mounted ROPS on the standard width model or mid-mounted ROPS on the narrow-width models.
A 16 x 16 speed manual gear box featuring a synchronized shuttle, the maximum forward speed has been increased to 34km/h to make this range the quickest in its class.
This mechanical H-Shuttle system, which has been used extensively in Europe and North America, is a fatigue saving device similar to Kioti's power shuttle that can help to reduce clutch wear by enabling the operator to change direction without use of the clutch.
"This new tractor series will appeal to a much larger customer base due to the fact that there are many different variants and this tractor series will feature Kioti's proven H shuttle transmission, which we believe will be a very popular option especially for the customer that is doing a lot of loader work," Steven Haynes added.
Manoeuvrability has therefore been considered and the DK10 models feature a quick turn front axle function that can be selected to automatically increase front wheel speed once the steering angle has exceeded 35 degrees.
This function, combined with hydraulic controlled 4WD, provides a much tighter turning radius and helps to reduce disturbance to soil and turf. All models feature 4WD, with 2WD and 4WD able to be electronically engaged using a dash mounted switch.
DK tractors include heavy duty three point linkage to offer the best lift capacity in its class at 1360kg and adjustable check chains to limit the movement of the rear mounted implement. The new height adjustable rear hitch design allows for greater flexibility for attaching trailers and the capacity has been increased to 4300kg.
A modern design and fresh styling implemented across all models helps to provide an easy to use machine that features highly visible gauges, projector headlights and a high intensity bright dash to display to clearly provide the operator with all the essential information.
A one piece bonnet design allows for easy access to the engine for routine checks or service work and the large 45 litre fuel tank has been designed with a low level easy access fill point.
The DK Series will have a field cabin option available by the end of March 2015.
