New micro-spray increases versatility

New micro-spray increases versatility
Combining control and power with responsive easy handling, the Martin Lishman Micro-Spray pedestrian sprayer is designed for all types of sports grounds, golf courses and landscaping work.

The Micro-Spray brings a new concept in spraying versatility to the groundsman's armoury.

First launched in 2011, the Micro-Spray now comes with an upgraded specification, making it more versatile in a wider range of situations. A 120 litre tank with a 2.5m 6 nozzle, 3 section folding boom with break back and height adjustment, independent shut-off nozzle bodies and reduced drift air inclusion nozzles will suit the majority of spraying situations. An optional hand lance for spot treatments and a bout marker are also available.

The Micro-Spray has a narrow footprint so it can fit through most gateways and passageways to tackle hard to reach spraying areas. The design ensures it also has a low centre of gravity. Teamed with smooth tyres and a single front steering wheel, this ensures a low ground pressure footprint to keep tyre marks on turf as minimal as possible, while still retaining the manoeuvrability and stability needed to tackle rough terrain.

The powder coated chassis, sealed battery compartment and encased motor add to the durability to make the Micro-Spray not only more hard wearing, but longer lasting and low maintenance.

A newly designed ergonomic steering handle provides a simple trigger throttle system and spray on/off buttons for precise fingertip control of spraying.  The addition of an emergency stop wrist lanyard improves safety should the operator become separated from the sprayer. The sprayer's motor brakes are applied automatically if the power is cut, lanyard disconnected, or the throttle switch is released. Parts of the control system are designed to meet the latest machinery directives, making them suitable for use by local authorities and in public places.

The comprehensive yet easy to use control box gives the operator more control over the sprayer with changeable motor direction to either walk behind or in front of the sprayer, 12 motor speeds, bout marker selection and a battery level indicator. Spray application rates, operating speed and the pump pressure can be accurately and quickly controlled by the operator. There is agitation available when mixing chemicals, boom section control and independent shut offs on the air inclusion nozzles, giving the operator complete control over the spraying situation.

The Micro-Spray utilises two 12 volt batteries for power giving 3 to 4 hours of continuous use depending on terrain, and the included smart charger ensures the sprayer stays topped up ready for when it is needed.
