Ryetec have introduced a new even larger range of wood splitters aimed directly at the professional firewood producer who are mostly using automated processing machinery which limit the diameter of wood which can be logged.
Larger diameter wood which is often cheaper does not work in this type of machine and few people are able to deal with it, but by spitting these larger diameter logs in length up to 3 metres into quarters or smaller if required they can then be fed through an automated processor.
The New Ryetec Contractor splitters are available in 30, 40 & 50 ton models with even an 80 ton machine being built for a particularly demanding job. These machines can be specified with spitting beds from 1 to 3 metres and also with full remote control operation allowing the loader operator to split massive pieces of wood as a one man operation. Quickly and easily converting lower value timber into manageable sizes for efficient log production.
Machine can be built to suit customers exact requirements, floor, leg or trailer mounted, log lifting equipment, PTO of electrically driven with cable, hydraulic or wireless remote control systems and hydraulic adjustment of cross wedges.
Ryetec will be demonstrating a 30-ton machine at the Confor exhibition at Longleat on the September 12 and 13.
