The highlight of many sporting enthusiasts calendar, the Midland Game Fair is very much welcomed back this weekend, with lots of family entertainment back in the Main Arena, an array of Grand Finals in many sporting disciplines plus an increasing portfolio of countryside activities.
For years the Midland at Weston Park in Shropshire has remained one of the most celebrated and most highly anticipated outdoor events in the National Shooting calendar.
Welcoming visitors in their thousands, the event welcomes every type of visitor through its gates, from the seasoned airgunner to the budding dog handler through to families simply wanting to shop the stores and try lots of countryside activities.
For 2014, visitors to the event can expect lots of exciting things to come. Over in the Working Dog Arena, visitors can look forward to lots of gundog demonstrations from the likes of Ribblesdale Labradors and the fantastic Gamegoer Gundog Display Team.
With fishing's finest demonstrating in the Fishing Village, the UK's favourite falconers in the Falconry Village, this year's final event of the season has plenty for everyone to experience. This year's sporting line up also includes the Great Wall Motor World Series Clay Shooting Final, the Great Wall Motor World Series Gundog Championship Final with Chudleys, the European Field Target Championship and the Countryman's Weekly Champion of Champions in the Terrier and Lurcher events.
Along with championship finals in a host of sporting disciplines, the Midland also provides a comprehensive programme of entertainment too, bringing music, educational displays and have-a-go features that makes for a truly fantastic day out.
