Timberland PRO is providing ultimate protection against water penetration for outdoor workers with the launch of the Wildcard Mid safety footwear – a brand new addition to its sports-inspired Wildcard range.
"Already tested with great success by a number of customers involved in harsh, tough environments such as waste management, the new Timberland PRO Wildcard Mid ankle boot has been designed to keep feet dry, comfortable and safe in tough environments.
"This is achieved primarily through a high performance, waterproof membrane, that keeps water and rain out whilst allowing perspiration-absorption inside the boot, enhancing foot comfort during long, active working days," says Stephanie Altit-Hazan, Marcom Manager for Timberland PRO® in EMEAI.
With an exclusively designed Vibram® outsole to provide excellent slip and abrasion resistance, the new Wildcard Mid footwear is ideally suited to those working in construction, transport and logistics, waste management and other general outdoor trades who face increased slip and trip hazards. The addition of the Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) midsole adds superb shock absorption, flexibility and comfort.
Wider performance benefits include a microfiber upper, with forefoot and heel reinforcements, which offer lightness, abrasion resistance as well as strong ankle and foot support. The metal-free, anti-puncture midsole and protective toe cap increase thermal insulation in cold conditions and ensure Wildcard Mid is extremely lightweight and flexible. There is also an improved flex area at the back of the heel to enable comfortable bending and flexing when kneeling down. In addition odour inside the Wildcard Mid is controlled thanks to its complementary antimicrobial treatment.
Certified to the EN ISO20345 standard for safety footwear, the new Timberland PRO Wildcard Mid is available in sizes 40 to 47.
