Eight
of Wiedenmann UK's range are designated for leaf collection and if
you count all the different widths and sizes available you can choose
from 14 machines.
The
Terra Rake in five sizes from 1.6 m to 4.6 m is both fast and
thorough in pursuit of autumn debris. Inquisitive spring tines forage
and gather impressive volumes of fallen leaves guiding them tidily
for rapid uplift, very often working in tandem with other equipment.

partners to the Terra Rake are most obviously
Wiedenmann's Material Collection Systems – the MCS Favorit (600
or 850 litres) and the MCS XP (1200 or 1500 litres) which feature
distinctive whisper fan technology. Leaves are sucked and compressed
instantly. The Favorit fits front or mid mounted decks with compact
tractors and can access tight spaces while for big open areas the
rear mounted MCS XP collector comes into its own..
Specifically
for turf sweeping, the neat RK120z at 1.2 m wide is another way to
go, collecting cut grass and leaves as it passes over.
Wiedenmann's
two multi-purpose blowers the Mega Twister and the Whisper Twister
are key leaf management essentials with two brand new features being
shown at Saltex. The first is an easily attached goose neck spout so
the wind nozzle can be set parallel to the floor, the
new position optimising the massive output. Also new is an electrical
operation to the nozzle. This addition allows tractors with just one
double spool valve to operate the "left to right" swivel action
hydraulically and the "up and down" motion via an electric ram
thus not requiring a second hydraulic service which is not always
standard. The two new accessories to the Wiedenmann blower range
means users can also direct the outlet spout to different angles
depending on the conditions, particularly on undulating ground.
Finally
Wiedenmann's most coveted performers in this sector are the Super
500 and Super 600 3-in1 collector/sweeper/mowers. Highly acclaimed
particularly by golf clubs and estate owners because of the power of
work and versatility the Super duo can be set to mow, scarify, sweep
and collect effortlessly. With either 2.5 m³ or 4.5 m³ capacity the
containers lift via a parallel system to a height of 2.1 m while
rotating the hopper to discharge collected material. Even on
undulating surfaces their usefulness and productivity doesn't
falter and they now come with a host of options including a golf
course kit.
