Contractors Ecology Works have added a Shibaura SG280 Slope Mower to their fleet.
Proprietor Drew Harris explained that much of the company's work is governed by the Reservoir Act and so the team needed a lighter machine capable of cutting safely on slopes of up to thirty degrees.
"In my opinion, no other machine cuts as fast or as efficiently on slopes,” he added.
Paul Butterly, MD of FGM Claymore, UK distributor for the Shibaura range said: “With low noise & vibration levels, fully adjustable horizontal rolling seat to compensate for working angle and a twenty six litre fuel tank for more efficient working, the SG280 is an extremely operator friendly machine.
"The 28HP 3 cylinder diesel engine complies with current emission regulations while the SG280’s solid 50-50 weight distribution, together with a 1500mm wheel base and low centre of gravity, delivers the stability and safety of operation required when at work on steep inclines, making it one of the most cost effective solutions for difficult terrain.
"The Shibaura compact professional brand is recognized for offering added value and we are seeing sustained tractor sales growth in the UK. If I could describe the Shibaura in a few words it would be reliability and performance. The feed-back we get from end users is extremely positive.”
