Addagrip approved contractor Resarf Flooring Ltd was asked to install a free draining Addaset resin bound surfacing system for the garden and landscaped area at the National Performance Centre, Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
The Heriot-Watt Edinburgh Campus became home to Oriam, Scotland's National Sports Performance Centre in 2016.
The £33 million purpose-built sports facility provides a high tech training hub for a range of users including Scotland's national football and rugby squads.
Due to the failure of an existing surface, the university was looking to replace the area with a quality paving system that would offer a decorative, durable, low maintenance, porous finish to the area overlooking the pond.
The client selected a BBA certified Addaset resin bound surfacing option in a 6mm Scandinavian Pearl blend.
The perimeters were cut back and the surface prepared before the addition of a graded overlay to suit the level requirements and edging detail.
The result is a stunning new contemporary looking, low maintenance, porous surface to suit the state-of-the-art sports facility.
