South West Surfacing were contacted to transform the driveway of a farmhouse in Tavistock, Devon.
The existing driveway was an unattractive subbase that looked grey and dull and didn’t complement the farmhouse or its grounds.
The area desperately needed brightening up and the owners required a decorative resin bound finish to their drive that was self-draining and merged into loose gravel.
The client also requested an aggregate that matched the loose stone they had outside the stables so South West Surfacing came to Long Rake Spar to provide the aggregates that would fulfil the brief.
Long Rake have a large range of decorative aggregates that are suitable for both resin bound paving and as a loose decorative ground covering so they were the obvious choice supplier.
South West Surfacing laid tarmac onto the existing sub-base and then compacted then the decorative resin bound stone to create an anti-slip and UV protected finish.
The client was delighted with the end result as the resin bound drive perfectly complements the bricks and stonework of the farmhouse.
