New survey to investigate the state of the horticulture industry

In a bid to shed light on the evolving landscape of the horticulture industry, MorePeople has launched a comprehensive new industry survey.

It aims to explore the prevailing trends, challenges, and opportunities within the horticulture sector, offering invaluable insights to stakeholders across the sector.

"I decided to create this for a couple of reasons,” said Sarah Want, Team Manager Horticulture at MorePeople. “The first, is down to the success and impact our annual salary survey has across food, fresh produce, horticulture, and agriculture.

“The second is down to the continual conversations I have with Horticultural businesses about retention, culture, what people want and the changes in working environments. Horticulture is such a pivotal industry in the UK, and I thought instead of having singular conversations with a finite number of people, why not gather some quantitative data that can reach a larger audience.

"By conducting this survey, we aim to provide industry players with actionable data and analyses that can inform strategic decision-making, drive the industry forward, and foster sustainable growth."

Key areas of the survey include:

  • Current remuneration packages
  • Important factors when looking for new roles
  • Importance of culture and training to individuals
  • Challenges facing the overall industry
  • Qualifications and association use

The survey will be open for participation until Friday 31st May, and respondents will have the opportunity to receive a free, comprehensive report of the survey findings.

People at any level, from any part of horticulture in any role are encouraged to share their thoughts. The more data gathered, the more the industry is supported.

The survey is expected to take a maximum of 10 minutes. Follow the link - https://r1.dotdigital-pages.com/p/58OI-FFI/horticulture-survey-2024
