Landscaping, building, and roofing materials specialist Marshalls has made a series of senior leadership appointments in both its Landscaping business and at Group level, as part of its strategy to add even greater value to customers.
Nick Platt, Managing Director for Landscaping, joins Marshalls from Baxi, where he was the Sales and Marketing Director for the UK and Ireland. Prior to this, he held roles including Business Director for Built-in and Integrated Appliances for Haier Europe, and Category Manager for Buy It Direct.
Nick has a proven track record of driving growth and transformation, through driving a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement to develop high-performing teams.
Michael Roden has rejoined Marshalls as Commercial Trading Director, having originally worked for the business between 2016 and 2021 as Regional Trading Manager for the North.
Keith Brophy has also returned to the company as National Trading Director for
domestic projects, working closely with merchants and installers. He was originally part of the Marshalls team between 2008 and 2022, as a National Sales Manager.
Stacey Temprell joins as Group Marketing Director, responsible for the marketing of all Marshalls brands across both Landscaping and Building Products and will play a leading role in executing the business’ new ‘Transform and Grow’ strategy.
She brings with her a wealth of experience in the built environment and in the marketing of technical, performance-based construction products, having previously worked as Group Marketing Director for Gripple, and Marketing Director for multiple brands within Saint-Gobain including British
Gypsum, and Isover Insulation. Her appointment reinforces the importance Marshalls places on innovation and marketing its leading brands.
In the last twelve months Marshalls has invested significantly in product innovation, launching EDENKERB, the industry’s first complete commercial rain garden kerb system as a sustainable, biodiverse solution to mitigate increasing flood risks, and Modal X, a competitive, lower-carbon alternative to granite paving.
Modal X was also the first product produced by the company’s new £24m dual block plant, which uses cutting-edge technology to nearly double the output of a traditional single plant, transforming Marshalls’ capacity and capability for NPD.
Marshalls is further investing in its design and engineering team to strengthen its technical design and support that is highly valued by our customers in driving both cost and carbon savings.
