The Major Contoura delivers quality, performance and savings for Coventry Golf Club in Warwickshire.
Founded in 1887, Coventry Golf Club is a prestigious parkland course set within 140 acres of scenic Warwickshire countryside.
Known for its fast-growing grass on clay-based soil, Course Manager Joel Chappell needed a mower that could keep up with the demanding maintenance schedule.
“Our previous rough mowers were costly to maintain and couldn’t handle the workload,” Joel explained. “With how fast the rough grows here, we’re mowing almost daily-so reliability and efficiency were critical.”
After thorough research, Joel’s team selected the Major Contoura MJ76-360, replacing their aging equipment. “Last season we spent £13,000 just to keep a rough mower running. For £60,000, we got a new Contoura, plus a tractor. It made financial sense.”
