Nemasys, the UK’s biggest manufacturer of beneficial nematodes, has partnered with Rudding Park Resort, the hotel, spa and golf resort in Harrogate, to create a series of new videos aimed at demystifying nematodes for gardeners.
This educational content, part of Nemasys’ refreshed campaign to boost awareness and drive education around nematode use in domestic markets, was filmed on location at Rudding Park’s kitchen garden and wider estate, including formal beds and turf areas.
Covering key products such as Nemaslug 2.0 and Nemasys Leatherjacket Killer, it demonstrates application techniques, correct storage, and addresses frequently asked questions from home gardeners.
The video series is presented by Dr Sarah Owen-Hughes, Head Gardener at Rudding Park and PhD specialist in nematode optimisation, whose research focused on using nematodes for sustainable pest control in glasshouse crops, giving her a rare combination of scientific insight and hands-on horticultural experience.
“Sarah was the ideal person to bring this content to life,” said Annette Matthies, European Portfolio Manager at Nemasys. “She bridges the gap between academic rigour and real-world application, exactly what our trade and domestic audiences need. Rudding Park also gave us a unique filming location that reflects both professional and domestic settings.”
Filmed by East Midlands based videographer Forecast Designs, the series reinforces how simple and effective biological pest control can be. The content also addresses common questions about nematode use, helping to remove barriers for both professional users and home gardeners.
