ProGreen Weed Control Solutions has announced the acquisition of the AlgoClear trademark from Thames Valley Specialist Products (TVSP), strengthening its portfolio of trusted solutions for professional and domestic weed, algae and moss control.
AlgoClear is a well-established and highly regarded brand, recognised for its effectiveness in tackling algae, lichen, and moss across hard surfaces.
The addition of AlgoClear enhances ProGreen’s commitment to providing high-quality, reliable and environmentally responsible products to customers throughout the UK.

Phil Murray, Chief Executive of ProGreen Weed Control Solutions, said: “We are delighted to have secured an agreement with TVSP to bring the AlgoClear brand into the ProGreen stable.
“Our partnership with TVSP over many years as the UK’s exclusive distributor of AlgoClear has gone from strength to strength, and this deal will now allow us to make further investment into the AlgoClear brand, to attract new customers and open up additional sales channels.
“We are excited by this opportunity to cement our place as the leading supplier of patio and hard surface cleaners.”
Francois Moal set up AlgoClear’s parent company Thames Valley Specialist Products Ltd in 1999 and introduced the product to the UK through ProGreen as its national distributor.
Francois said: “ProGreen has demonstrated over time to be on top of their game for the quality of their representation and punctual deliveries. I am delighted to be passing the AlgoClear baton to the team now I have reached retirement.”
