As LAPU Magazine celebrates 30 years, Wiedenmann UK—now in its 34th year—stands as a near contemporary, having grown and evolved alongside both the publication and the wider turf industry. In that time, Wiedenmann UK has helped define deep-tine aeration through steady innovation and a close working relationship with the operators who rely on its machines.
The 2000s brought a major step change.
The Terra Spike XP, introduced just before the Millenium, pushed aeration depth to 40 cm and set a new benchmark. Crucially, hands-on demos and direct customer feedback travelled straight back to the factory, shaping upgrades and accessories that many turf professionals now consider essential.
When the Terra Spike XF arrived in 2004, it heralded the essence of smooth. Twin-drive technology, delivering faster, quieter and smoother operation. That breakthrough laid the groundwork for today’s GXi, XD and SL models.
Momentum continued through the mid-2000s as the range expanded into sweeping, collecting, blowing, cutting and raking—broadening Wiedenmann UK’s reach across rough-management tasks. The Whisper Twister blower, the contour-following Super 500 collector and the updated Terra Rake helped anchor this new direction.
Today, the lineup includes ten Terra Spikes; the Super 500, 600 and new 1300 collectors; multiple Terra Rakes; and advanced blowers. The Terra Float Air seeder has also become a trusted choice for overseeding and renovation on elite courses.
Wiedenmann UK continues to refine, respond and advance—its next generation already taking shape.
