Jewson has announced the winners of its 2026 landscaping competition, celebrating four beautiful and unique garden makeovers.
The builders’ merchant launched the competition via social media earlier this spring, inviting landscaping teams and homeowners to share images of their recent garden transformations. An impressive list of entries was whittled down to a top four, which went to a public vote on social media.
Receiving the most votes, the overall winner of the competition was Lou Whiteley, whose previously tired and outdated garden has been updated into a modern haven for outdoor dining, with an extensive patio and turfed space, tiered planters, and a pergola. Lou will receive a £500 garden furniture voucher and £200 of Jewson credit.

The three runners-up were Jamie Johnstone of JJ Landscapes Designs, who transformed a basic new build garden into a multifunctional and zoned space featuring planting and water features; Christian Male, who overhauled his turfed garden to create a Mediterranean-inspired terrace; and Eddie Mendoza, who updated an unused space in his garden to build a sheltered seating area. The runners-up will each receive a £200 shopping voucher for barbecue equipment, and £200 of Jewson credit.
Tessa Viller, Marketing Director for STARK Building Materials UK Ltd, the parent company of Jewson, said: “Landscaping is about much more than creating attractive outdoor spaces. It requires skill, planning, technical expertise and a real understanding of how people want to use their gardens.
“This year’s entries demonstrated all of that in abundance, with a fantastic mix of professional and DIY projects that showcased the talent, creativity and passion that exists across the landscaping community.”
