Brett Landscaping & Building Products has supplied more than 3,500m2 of Invicta permeable block paving for the pedestrian areas around Silverstone Park, a 285-acre advanced manufacturing campus adjacent to the home of Formula One and motorsport in the UK.
The existing park is home to 90 businesses spanning aerospace, automotive, defence, energy and scientific research, including three globally significant innovation centres including Motorsport Valley, the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, and the Silverstone Technology Cluster.

The site, operated by MEPC, is undergoing expansion which will increase the capacity of the park by 102,000 square feet.
Brett Landscaping & Building Products was chosen by MEPC to supply the paving for the new pedestrian walkways and car parking areas. The Invicta block paving range was specified in three sophisticated colourways of Onyx, Moonstone, and Pearl which were chosen specifically for their premium granite aggregates that deliver an exceptionally hardwearing, contemporary finish befitting the world-class location.

In addition, the use of permeable paving throughout the car park areas provides an integrated Sustainable Drainage System that ensures rainwater is absorbed and slowly dispersed back into the water course.
The paving was installed around a phase of the development with smart offices, a nursery, gym and a café are situated, providing the amenities needed for the expanding science park and the additional capacity requirements of race weekends at the nearby Silverstone circuit.

Robyn Robertson, Technical Design Manager, Brett Landscaping & Building Products:“Silverstone Park is a fantastic cluster for advanced manufacturing and education linked to one of the most iconic locations in world motorsport, so we are excited to be supplying our Invicta permeable block paving to the expansion of the site, as it gears up for growing business demand and higher footfall.
“The Invicta range provides the pedestrian and parking areas with a beautifully engineered, modern clean look that is hardwearing that will serve the park and its visitors for many years to come.”
Brett Landscaping & Building Products worked with E H Smith merchants on the project delivery, and contractor T J Brayne Limited on the product installation.
