Finalists announced for Landscape Institute Awards 2026

The Landscape Institute Awards celebrate people, place and nature, and the myriad of ways the landscape connects them.

They reflect the high standards of practice within our industry, with all entries judged according to core criteria in design, sustainability, value, and professionalism.

After a detailed and rigorous judging process this year’s finalists have been decided.

The finalists, from the UK and internationally, cover the full breadth of the profession, from large-scale masterplanning and regeneration to research, management and the work of students just starting out.

The winners will be announced at the Landscape Institute Awards ceremony on Friday 13 November 2026 at The Brewery in London in front of an audience of over 400 peers, industry leaders and decision makers from across the natural and built environment. The winners from each category will also have the opportunity to win the coveted President’s Award, given to the best project of the year

New for 2026, in addition to a winner, one finalist in every category will be Highly Commended. This recognises exemplary work that deserves its own moment in the spotlight and reflects the strength and range of entries from across the profession.

The Landscape Institute Awards ceremony brings the profession together to celebrate achievements of those people making a difference through landscape and delivering positive outcomes for people, place and nature. An evening not to be missed.

Dr Saira Ali FLI, President of the Landscape Institute, says: “Congratulations to everyone selected as a finalist in this year’s Landscape Institute Awards. The standard of entries has once again been exceptional, showcasing the creativity, expertise and dedication that exists across our profession. I would also like to thank every member of the judging panel for their time, care and professionalism in what was an exceptionally rigorous judging process.

“This year’s finalists represent the breadth and strength of landscape practice, from students taking their first steps into the profession to teams delivering transformative projects at every scale across the UK and internationally. Together, they demonstrate the vital role landscape professionals play in creating places that are more resilient, more nature-rich and better for the people and communities they serve.

“At a time when society faces complex challenges, from climate resilience and biodiversity recovery to health, wellbeing and sustainable growth, these projects show the value of putting landscape at the heart of decision-making. They remind us that great landscapes enrich lives, strengthen communities and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

“I am incredibly proud of what our profession continues to achieve, and I look forward to celebrating the achievements of all our finalists and winners at the Awards ceremony in November.”
