STIHL has launched the MS 300 C-M, the best power-to-weight ratio of a 50 cm³ class chainsaw, engineered to reduce operator fatigue during felling, processing, and delimbing tasks.
The new chainsaw, which offers 3.3kW of power at an operating weight of 4.8KG, pairs high cutting power with an agile, manoeuvrable design.
To maximise productivity for busy, forestry professionals, the newly developed saw uses STIHL M-Tronic technology to deliver easy starts and rapid acceleration. Automatically regulating ignition timing and fuel metering, the MS 300 C-M’s M-Tronic engine management system offers professionals high torque across its speed range for low pressure sensitivity, making quick work of arduous tasks.
The slim-line MS 300 C-M combines excellent balance characteristics with a new rear handle and wider knee rest for optimum handling and maximum comfort. In addition, markings on the fan housing makes it easier for users to check the direction of felling and plunge cuts for faster work.
To help professionals keep an eye on fuel levels while working, the MS 300 C-M’s semi-transparent fuel tank displays a 50% mark for maximum productivity. In addition, the saw’s tool-free oil and fuel tank closures ensure quick refilling on the job. The machine’s oil pump can also be easily adjusted with a combination wrench.
Tried-and-tested STIHL features, such as side chain tensioning and a captive nut, also make changing the saw’s chain easy for users. In addition to the MS 300 C-M model, the new saw is also available as the MS 300 C-M VW with carburettor heating to maintain the tool’s performance at cold temperatures and a heated handle for increased user comfort on cold or wet days.
The new design arrives as STIHL celebrates its 100th anniversary. Since 1926, STIHL has defined the global standard for battery and petrol-powered forestry, landscaping, and residential gardening equipment for professional and domestic users.
